2012 Men's League Update
Welcome to the 2012 River Oaks Men's League season! League President Dan Gordan and I (Tony Korologos) are making a few changes from last year's system. I'm in the process of upgrading the league web site and as we did for a few years previous, will be tracking scores and handicaps here online.
Stay tuned. We are close to being done with the upgrades and hope that the changes improve the league.

2011 Men's Club Newsletter
WELCOME MEN’S LEAGUE 2011
Our 2011 Men’s League begins March 1 and will play through October 25. We will conclude with our famous “HELL NIGHT” and an award banquet.
Congratulations to Jeff Jolley for winning our 2010 Club Championship. All of us also want to congratulate Jeff with winning the Tournament of Champions where he competed against all other public golf course Men’s League winners at Wolf Creek Golf Course. We would also like to thank Tony Korologos for his service as our Men’s League President, and welcome our new Men’s League President elected at our last meeting, Dan Gordan. Dan can be reached at 801-580-4033. If you are interested in serving on our Men’s League committee give Dan a call. Our Club Championship will be 18 holes played August 23 and finishing with 18 holes played August 30. Our Club Champion will represent River Oaks at the Tournament of Champions on September 17 and 18 at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Eden, Utah. This tournament is hosted by the Utah Golf Association.
FEES
To join our Men’s League the cost is $60.00 per player. Fee includes membership to the UGA. (if you have already joined the UGA, your fee will be $35.00) All participants in our Men’s league this year will be required to join the Utah Golf Association. We will be using the UGA’s handicapping system. To help offset the cost of joining the UGA River Oaks will give each paid member a 9-hole round of golf, and a dozen Bridgestone limited edition E6 golf balls!
The weekly cost for Men’s League play is green fees ($13.50 - $39.00) plus $5.00. The $5.00 goes towards the weekly prize fund payable in pro shop merchandise. Our Men’s League President will also host a weekly skin’s game. This year if you are a senior, (over 60) or have a handicap above 16 you will play from the white tee’s, and only compete with the players from the white tees. This means that not only the weekly prize fund, but also the skin money as well. All other members will play from the blue tee’s, and those who’s handicaps are below a 3 will play from the black tee box. The weekly prize money as well as any collected skin money will be paid to those members who play from those tee boxes. If you are over 60, and want to compete at the blue tees, or black tee’s you can have your choice. The Men’s League committee will assign a handicap to any member who has yet to obtain a UGA handicap, or if you are a returning member we will use last years ending handicap until a UGA handicap is established.
This year we will be playing mostly gross and net weekly scores. The only weeks we will change that format is for lady’s day ( all play from the red tee’s) and for our July Red, White and Blue where all Men’s league members will start at the red tee’s, then go to the white tee, and then the blue tee’s. We will also have a match play event starting in June where you can choose to play or not.
