The River Oaks Banquet Room offers an open-beam setting with a gorgeous stone fireplace to tie in an all-window view of the Jordan River.Our banquet facilities seat 150 and an additional 90 on the deck overlooking the golf course grounds which are complete with thick foliage. Dave DeSantis
Dave is a veteran PGA Professional. He has been teaching golfers of all abilities and ages since 1981. Dave's students appreciate his knowledge and passion for teaching motor skills within the context of each student's capabilities and goals. An accomplished player in his own right Dave has successfully qualified 3 times through the first stage of the PGA Tour School. He has also successfully qualified through the United States Open local qualifier 4 times. Dave was a member of the 1981 NCAA Championship Team. He also has placed in the top ten in the Utah and Arizona Opens. Dave’s competitive career has been highlighted by successfully qualifying 3 times into the regional stage of the U.S. Open and 3 times into the regional stage of the PGA Tour. Guy is a native of the bay area in California, and has been a golfer for more than 40 years. Guy has played competitive golf since he was 14 years  old, and has competed at both the High School, and College levels. After retiring at an early age, Guy decided to work in the industry that has been his main love since the age of 9, and become a PGA golf professional. Guy first came to the state of Utah in the 1970's to play for the Weber State golf team. There he fell in love with the state and the people and has yet to leave. Guy has worked at River Oaks golf course since its opening and is currently the Director of Golf. Guy has passed all of the requirements to become a PGA apprentice and has been teaching and coaching golf for the past 20 years in both California, and Utah. Guy has especially loves to work with juniors, and has been working with them for many years, through Nike golf camps and the junior programs offered at River Oaks. Guy has also been involved with different golf schools in California and Utah, and attends many seminars and instructional series to further his golf education. River Oaks Golf Course is a municipal golf course located in Sandy, Utah. The course is a very challenging 18 hole par 70 layout with many lateral hazards. River Oaks has an excellent practice range with hitting areas on the North and South end. There are two practice putting greens, practice bunkers and practice chipping areas. The practice facility also has a covered hitting/instructional area and indoor putting green. The River Oaks Golf Academy is one of Utah's best instructional and golf practice facilities. |
